Murder in the Mansion Teaser for The Halingsford Murders eBook Lili Evans Reviews
Like her other book, Becoming Imogene, it too reads like an old Agatha Christis novel. Its not heavy with technical jargon or anything like that. Just a good, light read.
I found this disappointing mainly because when I reached the end of the book --- it didn't really end! Unlike most other books in a series this one relies on reading at least one more in the series to complete the tale.
I'm not going to post a spoiler here -- I'll just say this is a really good read and well worth the time.
This book was really good and I look forward to reading the other books in the series. I would recommend this book to friends and family members.
Lili Evans' first book about the Halingsford family is wonderful! The way she writes is exciting and suspenseful! She leavings you wanting to know more and more especially about the secretive Halingsford Family!
Definitely be sure you have all three books before you start reading this one. The characters are presented
a plot is laid, your interest has been piqued and the book ends. Too much like a movie that gets to the good part and says to be continued. If you can't be there for the next part you are just left hanging.
I really did like this book, but could have done without the f-word. It wasn't necessary. What sucked was the fact it was sold in chapters. When I ordered it, it was on a free book website. I ordered it thinking I got the entire book. When I found out the other chapters were sold separately, I borrowed part of it thru Prime. That was dumb because you only get one book (or chapter) a month. It would have taken 4 months to read. Next time, I will read the fine print and stay away from a stupid scam.
